Neslihan is a young, new artist who has written about 70 songs so far. As a talented singer who has made a name for herself with her Karalarda Beyazlar album, she said that she pours her emotions into her pen.

Where are you from, and how old are you?

I’m from Malatya, Turkey, and I was born in 1983.

What is your education status?

I’m in my second year of studying business.

Do you live by yourself?

This is a little house where our company’s music projects are done. In general these days, I’m working on the violin a lot. Normally, though, I live with my family.

Does it bother you when the house is messy?

Yes, I get uncomfortable with that. I have to start cleaning up.

Could you talk little bit about your album?

It’s my first album. It has ten of my compositions in it. For me, the most important aspect is that the songs come from my own pen, or rather from the pen of my heart. The album appeals to all ages. What is most meaningful about it is that it offers listeners the best work that I can do. More will come in the future, I hope. This album was released by record label Arma Müzik and it was produced by Dr. Ömer Aydın.

How old were you when you started composing music?

I started composing when I was 14 years old. Since then, I’ve written about 70 songs.

Who do you like to listen to?

Barış Manco, Leman Sam, Sezen Aksu, Zeki Muren, and Belkis Özener.

Do you believe in love?

Love is a very broad concept. I think it covers everything: family, work, friends, humankind, God. You can fall in love with them all. So yes, I believe in love.

What is your favorite color?

Black, turquoise, white, and blue.

When buying something, do you seek out anyone’s advice?

I’ll consult someone first if I feel the need for more information about it. But if it’s a gift kind of thing that I’d buy for myself, I’ll buy the gift that my heart likes best.

Do you watch any TV shows?

I follow very few TV series.

What is the importance of friendship for you?

Without friends, who would point out my faults? Who would make me smile when I have a tough time? Friends are like a mirror to help people reflect on their situations, and they are the ones who lift us up when we fall down.

Do you have friends like that?

Of course, I do.

Do you go to plays or the movies?

I like plays more, but it’s rare that I get to go.

Have you thought about working abroad?

Yes. Since I want to share peace and happiness, I want to connect with everyone, even with people in outer space, if they exist. I’ll go abroad and it will be great. I believe that with all my heart on behalf of my country.
